Open Gym

Have your child stop by for some good old fashion basketball.  Pick up teams, winner stays on.  We have two dates planned, Friday August 31st and Thursday, September 6th.  Drop in any time during you designated hours.  Both boys and girls. No coaching, no parents.

Friday, August 31st
5th/6th: 4:00-5:30
3rd/4th: 5:30 to 7pm
7th/8th: 7pm to 8:30

Thursday, September 6th
3rd/4th: 4:00-5:30
5th/6th: 5:30 to 7pm
7th/8th: 7pm to 8:30





CYO Help

We are always grateful for volunteers in our program.  This is what makes are program so successful.

This year we have three significant needs -

Web Site Master

If you love working on the web, keeping information current, searching out and implementing web site functionality and helping others utilize all the features we want you.  We use a registration service provider and its use is fairly user friendly.  Someone who knows and understands registration service providers is perfect.

Referee Leadership

We are in need of a person  to work directly with our Director of Referees.  Someone who understands the rules of basketball, has been a basketball referee, who has good organization skills, who can work with both our adult and teenage referees, can commit to help monitor five gyms on Sundays during the season and help with game/gym issues.  A coach of a team is not preferable as Sunday priority must be on all games in St. Isidore controlled gyms and not your team/game for that day.

Treasurer

We are in need of a person who has the background and desire to help with many of the treasury functions of our league.

Coaches Evaluations

CYO puts a lot of effort into its coaches.  We are not focused on "win at all cost".  We are focused on coaches who can teach and be an example for Christian values as well as teach basketball skills.  Feedback from parents, players and other coaches is very good.  Constructive comments are always more effective.  All comments will be kept anonymous.  Only the Athletic Director knows the source of comments.

If you would like to evaluate coaches from prior years or during the year please feel free to contact me at athleticdirector@stisidorecyo.org.  I do not share these evaluations with anyone.  I enjoy positive evaluations and those with constructive criticism.
